Advantage of Face Recognition Security System in Door Access Control

It is not just necessity but it is must requirement. It doesn’t need to say that what I am talking about. I am talking about security. Today, attacks by terrorism organization happen more often. Once you lost then no one would be able to help, even police. But, according to me it is better to take prior steps to prevent.

Today, there are many security systems available in the market. They work on different technologies. Take different factors in concern to authenticate the person. For example, log cards require scanning barcode to give the access to any person and biometric access control require scanning of real human features like finger prints, eye retina, voice and face itself. Each has its own advantage and disadvantage. According to these systems the cost varies as per the security level they provide.

Biometric access control is the new technology which depends on the factors like eye retina, finger prints, voice and signature. So person who wants to access the system require these factors as an authentication. Biometric access control require scanner to scan real human features and convert it to digital format which can be stored.

I want to talk about Face recognition system and its advantages over others. It is one type of system which is based on biometric technology. Face recognition system scans whole face of the person. It includes shapes of face, stains on face, distance between two eyes, distance between eye and nose, retina scan and others. Let me explain the advantages of face recognition system in detail in next paragraph.

Whole face, itself is an advantage

In movies, you might have seen that the thief makes lenses and passes it and access the restricted thing or get entry in restricted region. By this example, you might understand that only one parameter is not sufficient to give full security. It is better that takes full face into scan and concern more than one factor. Same is the case in finger print scan. It is possible to break the security. Again Face recognition has added advantage.

Speed of scan

It is really time consuming to scan the eye. Put your eye against the system. It does require perfect placement of face. Suppose hundreds of persons authenticate themselves takes a lot time. While face recognition system starts scan from the front and until you reach near the gate system opens it for you. In fact, today the systems can scan 100,000 faces per second. It is really good at Door Access Control where thousands of people pass through every day.

Maintenance free system

Biometric access control system is one time cost system. Once you have installed then after you have to maintain a simple database. You can add or remove authorized persons easily and without any cost. On other side, if you use identity card then you have to issue identity card of every authorized person. It leads to more cost. There is also a threat of lost of identity card.

Automatic Continuous scanning

Let me explain, what is it? In other systems, once authenticated, the door stays open for some time. Through that time non restricted person can get entry. Suppose in finger print scanning system, once authorized person put finger door opens. After that two persons can get entry if they are quick. Same case is not possible in face recognition system. The whole door area stays under full security. If one has authenticated and opens the door, and a second person tries to enter without authentication the system detects it and alarms the threat. It means any person without authentication can’t get entry.

So, as I have stated that security is the area where cost is not important. One time cost can hesitate to you but I am sure you will get the reward for sure. My suggestion is, always go for biometric access control and in particular face recognition system. I hope after reading my article you have got clear picture in your mind.

The Role of Internet in Business

The internet plays a major role in every aspect of our modern life. Internet technologies play a major role in business. As a business owner, knowing the role of internet in business will help you take advantage of the powerful opportunities it offers to grow you business and make operations more effective.

Here are different ways in which the internet has contributed to the success and growth of businesses.

Communication: The internet makes communication fast and cost efficient. Businesses use internet technologies such as Skype internet and video calls, email and video conferencing to make communication virtually instant.

Growth: The internet plays a big role in the growth of businesses. It gives businesses an opportunity to reach a wider global audience. Promoting through the internet is also a way to increase sales and reach the desired growth level. Business can also expand by having an online division.

Marketing: One of the role of internet in business involves marketing and advertising. Most businesses are taking advantage of the internet to market their products and services to a global audience. The most notable internet technologies here include search engines such as Google.

Networking and Recruiting: Social networking websites play a role in business networking by connecting like-minded professionals. Through the internet, people have found business partners and great employees.

Outsourcing services:The internet has helped cut costs by outsourcing services to countries where it is cheaper to provide these services. Apart from the cost reduction through the outsourcing role of internet in business, outsourcing enables businesses to concentrate on their core services and become more efficient.

Traditional businesses are also not being left behind as they are creating online divisions. A business owner can only ignore the role the internet plays in business at the peril of his or her business.

The 4 Elements That Makes Up A Personal Computer System

There are 4 elements that make up a personal computer system: the user, software, hardware and the electricity all working together for the whole system. Each of these elements is essential to the system itself.

The user is the person’s who perform the task using the computer system. The nature of the task depends upon the application program or software that is needed to perform the task. The software that the user used requires certain hardware components to function properly.

The hardwares of the personal computer system are made up of its equipment that are usually connected (the computer, monitor, printer and so on). It is defined as hardwares because you can physically touch these components. The programs are called softwares since their function can only be used when the computer is turn ON. Software is a set of coded instructions that the computer uses in order to carry out the user’s tasks.

The user can only use the computer when it is turned ON. Without any electrical power to run through the personal computer system, it will not function. The ability of the personal computer system to control its components is through a series of on/off signals.

Here is how it works, when a user tries to type a document or a letter using his/her personal computer. The first thing the user do is to turn ON the power for the computer. Choosing a Word Processor software in order to write the document. The user uses the hardware such as the keyboard to write the content of the document; the typed document is then displayed onto the monitor screen. After the user finished writing his/her document. The user will use the software to instruct the printer to print the document. The software works together with the hardware components (the keyboard, monitor and printer) to accomplish the task that the user requested.

All of the four elements: the electrical power, hardware, software and the user work together to make up a personal computer system.

Classification of Servers

Server is a program which runs on a computer like a service and it fulfills the requirements of other programs which are not installed on the same PC.

Server Computer

This is a computer that is linked with other PC’s or devices and provides necessary network services to the users within an organization or outside users. There are different types of operating systems of hardware which drive or run the server and they are known as server platforms.

There are various types of servers used according to the use. We can discuss on different types of servers as:

Application Servers

An application server is a machine that does the work of connecting two databases or applications. It works like a middleware as a connection medium for two applications. If we take an example then these are the (middleware) products connecting a database system to a web server. Many organizations which are working on and providing various support services like server support, network management, IT management etc. are using different application servers.

Audio-Video Servers

They provide the multimedia features to the websites and allow them to program the streaming content. For transferring data the streaming technique is used and it can be processed steadily and continuously. It is popular today because many users don’t have fast access to download the content quickly. For better streaming the receiver’s side should be able to convert the data into sound and graphics.

Chat Servers

The chat servers allow the users to transfer the data or information within an environment which is similar and offer immediate discussion features. These are working on a real-time technique means immediate response. We can understand it by taking an example of a real-time operating system which responds quickly after getting an input.

FTP Servers

These are one of the Internet features which allow the users to transfer the files securely between the PC’s. The FTP Servers can move one or more than one files providing file security.

Fax Servers

The fax server is software which runs on a server with some fax modems. These are attached with the telephone lines and are capable to transmit the documents as they are to the receivers end. They can receive the information to their own side as well.

Groupware Servers

These servers let the users to interact and work together in a virtual location. They can collaborate together with different locations simultaneously.

IRC Servers

It is also like a chat server. What we chat is depends on the internet relay chat servers, it is like a network allowing the users to chat via different chat servers.

Mail Servers

The mail servers mainly store and move the electronic mails with different networks via LAN, WAN through the Internet.

Proxy Servers & Web Servers

A proxy server works as an intermediary or a computer system which allows other clients to connect with indirect network connections to other network services.

Web server is the hardware and the software which helps and allows the content and information over the internet.

The above information can be useful to those who are studying about servers and also seeking information about managed IT services as well.
